Blessed! Today is my birthday, and I received the best present last night! The true hearts of the candidates were so perfectly revealed. God peeled away the facade, the lies and the propaganda to show the truth. There was even one time when the two men were directly asked about a belief about religion (sanctity of life) and I almost gasped. It wasn't judgment day, but it felt very close to it. One of the men so cleverly said he would separate his religion from his governing. It was personal and did not apply to his job at all. Really?
Several days ago, I posted what God says about leadership in Exodus. Clearly, after ability God states the godly leader must fear God. Nothing will substitute for that. Our entire government is based on the belief that we are "one nation under God." Our leaders are also to be men of truth, and men who LOVE the truth, the eternal principles of God's law and the Ten Commandments.
I am grateful that the discerning listener had an opportunity to see into the truth of these two men.
* Pray: Praise God for the protection of your truth and your Word in the life of your servants.
* Pray: Please, Father, continue to show your people the direction we are to go in selecting our leaders.
* Pray: Lord, continue to have mercy on us. Deliver our government & the election process from evil.
* Pray: We are crying out to you today, dear Father God, to give America cause to rejoice this year.
