Day 8 - World Impact (10/5/12)

Day 8 of 40 Days of Prayer for the Election - Originally posted on Facebook on October 5, 2012

Thank all of you for encouraging me. I am searching far & wide for prayers that are uplifting for us as we face this difficult election time. So much hate & evil talk. And the whole world is watching us. Here goes:

Our world seems to be shrinking, in that what happens in one country has an effect on others. This is especially true for the United States. The individuals who hold the presidency, Senate and Congressional seats will make decisions that impact the rest of the world. Whether those decisions help or harm the people of the world is largely determined by the choices we Americans make at the polls. Our votes are vital, critical and have far-reaching consequences. Today, let us pray that our choices will serve to bless the world (and that includes us!).

Pray today for the election and its impact on the world, that:

* Voters will consider the foreign policies of candidates and how they fit with biblical principles.

* The activities of other nations will not have an undue influence on our elections.

* The result of U.S. elections will serve to spread the gospel around the globe.

* The U.S. will stand firm in its commitment to Israel's right to exist as a nation. That we never forget God's blessing on Israel. Pray for Israel to be protected.

Amen
