Debate day again. Last debate and on foreign policy. This is the one that I used to consider the most boring! Sorry, but honestly candidates used to mention countries I (or they) could scarcely pronounce, must less know where they were. After 9/11 (the first one), that all changed. If we don't know what the candidates believe about the United States' involvement in foreign affairs, we cannot vote in a wise way. Be sure to balance the views each one expresses with biblical principles. Well, I can't begin to understand it, but I am praying for wisdom as I listen tonight.
"To fear The Lord is to revere Him with love and to know that security is with Him, never apart from Him." Isaiah 33:6
The fear of The Lord is the key to the treasure of a sure foundation for our times, a rich store of salvation, wisdom & knowledge.
Be very wary of charming words, since they can be deceptive. Being charismatic & charming is not a replacement for the truth. Asking for the inside character and true motives be displayed in the candidates. Look for hidden agendas woven into the discourse. I know we can do it. I am looking forward to truth & wisdom being given to the men and to us as listeners!
Pray: (from my friend, Janice)
*"The peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard his (the man of God's choosing) heart & mind through Jesus Christ" Phil. 4:7
*"Let the peace of God rule in our hearts...and be thankful." Col. 3:15
Amen
